According to a post on Reddit by Braddock District Supervisor John Cook, Dinh was raised in Springfield and graduated from George Mason University. Cook, who plans to attend the fundraiser, has been asking community members to spread awareness about the fundraiser through social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #DonateforDinh.

Those who can't attend the fundraiser can make donations directly to the fund through the PayPal account on Lodge 77's website www.fairfaxlodge77.com.
