Jewelry Store Robbed at Gunpoint
Men fled with cash, merchandise in Monday evening incident.
A jewelry store was robbed at gunpoint Monday evening, according to Fairfax County Police.
Two men entered the Route 50 Gold & Jewelry Exchange on Arlington Boulevard just east of Annandale Road (the 6600 block) around 6:30 p.m. Monday. The two men "displayed handguns to an employee" and then fled with cash and merchandise, police reported. There were no injuries in the incident, and the suspects may have been black men wearing dark clothing and masks.
In a separate and unrelated incident, a man entered a gas station on Little River Turnpike shortly after 3 p.m. Monday, brandished a knife and took cash before fleeing. The gas station is in the 6200 block of Little River Turnpike, near N. Beauregard Street.
Police said the suspect in that incident was described as a black male in his 40s who was between 5-feet-8-inches and 5-feet-10-inches tall.
