Annandale-area residents are invited to meet the new Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) Chief Col. Edwin Roessler and voice their neighborhood concerns at a countywide Citizens' Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting next week.

The public meeting will be in the A-level conference room of the Massey Building, located at 4100 Chain Bridge Rd. in Fairfax, on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m.

Roessler will speak with residents and explain his vision for the future of the department and the CAC's.

The Mason District Station CAC and the West Springfield District Station CAC held their first meeting of the fall schedule last week. Both stations cover the Annandale-area and the CAC meets every first Tuesday of the month.

On Sept. 3, Capt. Joe Hill, commander of the West Springfield District Station, gave an overview of current crime statistics for the district so far in 2013.
