Police Arrest Suspect in Annandale TD Bank Robbery

Police arrested Carlton Thorne Jr., 48, of Alexandria, Saturday. Detectives with the Fairfax County Police Department recently obtained three warrants charging Thorne with bank robberies that occurred in Fairfax County, according to an FCPD news release.
Thorne allegedly robbed TD Bank on Richmond Highway six times between March 2010 and July 2013 and was deemed the Beacon Hill Bandit by local law enforcement, including the Washington FBI Field Office.
FCPD confirmed that they have reason to believe the Beacon Hill Bandit is also a suspect in last week's robbery at TD Bank in Annandale.
According to an FCPD news release, additional charges against Thorne are forthcoming.
