The following items came from recent police updates from the West Springfield, Franconia and Mason District Stations of the Fairfax County Police Department.

Burglary

Two men were discovered unlawfully inside a home in the 4600 block of Logsdon Drive around noon on Sunday, May 29. [.]

7800 block of Sutter Lane—jewelry stolen from residence

Animal Control Division

Low-Cost Rabies Clinic

The Fairfax County Animal Shelter will host a low-cost rabies vaccination clinic for pets on Sunday, June 26 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Sully District Governmental Center located at 4900 Stonecroft Blvd., Chantilly, VA 20151. The cost of the rabies vaccine is $12 per pet and vaccines will be provided for dogs, cats and ferrets. To receive
a three-year vaccination, pet owners should bring proof of their pet’s current rabies vaccination. All other pets will receive a rabies vaccine valid for one year. No rabies tags will be issued at the clinic; however, 2011 dog licenses will be sold at the clinic for an additional $10 per dog. All dogs must be on leash and cats and ferrets must be in carriers. Cash and checks only will be accepted at the clinic. The reduced-cost rabies clinic is being hosted as a partnership between the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, the office of Fairfax County Board Supervisor Michael R Frey, and Deepwood Veterinary Clinic.
