Police Blotter Oct. 17: Annandale Man Attacked By Four Men, Larcenies
The following arrest information was supplied by the Fairfax County police department. It does not indicate a conviction
The following items came from recent police updates from the West Springfield, Franconia and Mason District Stations of the Fairfax County Police Department.
Robbery/Carjacking/Arrest
Police responded to the 4200 block of Markham Street for a robbery at 11:29 p.m. on Monday, October 10. They located a 31-year-old Annandale-area man with apparent injuries. An investigation determined the victim was involved in an earlier altercation with an acquaintance. The victim later drove the acquaintance to a parking lot and parked. Three other men approached the victim’s car and aided the other male acquaintance in assaulting the victim. The victim fled from the car; one suspect stole the victim’s car and the three other suspects fled in their vehicle. Police located the victim’s car nearby after it was intentionally set on fire. All four suspects were located in the area a short time later and taken into custody. Ronald Walter Abernathy, Jr., 31, of 9290 Weathersfield Drive in Bristow, Mario Raul Medina, 21, of 12509 Erroll Lane in Bristow, Luis Medrano, 20, and Edgar Medrano, 18, both of 8226 Wycliffe Court in Manassas, were each charged with abduction with the intent to extort money, arson, assault by mob and carjacking.
