Police Blotter Oct. 4: Bank robbery, Larcenies

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fairfax County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following items came from recent police updates from the West Springfield, Franconia and Mason District Stations of the Fairfax County Police Department.

Bank robbery, Sept. 23. Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Friday, Sept. 23, at Bank of America, 5707 Seminary Road. A man entered the bank at 10:13 a.m. and passed a note demanding money to the teller. The teller complied, and the man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported. The robber is described as black, 35 to 40 years old and approximately 6 feet tall. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt at the time of the robbery. Drug possession with intent to sell, Sept. 24. Police arrested a man on charges of possessing drugs after an officer made a traffic stop on his vehicle around 4:11 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, near Gloucester Road and Lincolnia Road. Abdul K. Kalokoh, 29, of Washington, D.C., ran from the scene but was apprehended and taken to jail. He was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of a schedule I or II drug with intent to sell and obstruction of justice.

Burglary, Sept. 23. A home in the 4500 block of John Tyler Court was burglarized between 8:40 and 9:05 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 23. Police determined entry was forced through a door and that jewelry and cash were missing.

Larcenies through Sept. 28:

  • A laptop computer and hard drive were stolen from a vehicle in the 6400 block of 2nd Street.
  • A ring was stolen from a residence in the 6300 block of Buffalo Ridge Road.
  • Tools were stolen from a vehicle in the 6500 block of Columbia Pike.
  • A gun and beer were stolen from a business in the 7000 block of Columbia Pike.
  • A purse was stolen from a vehicle in the 4600 block of Green Spring Road.
  • Cash was stolen from a residence in the 6000 block of Lebanon Drive.
  • Cash was stolen from a business in the 4800 block of Leesburg Pike.
  • A laptop computer was stolen from a business in the 5100 block of Leesburg Pike.
  • A wallet was stolen from a business in the 5100 block of Leesburg Pike.
  • A cell phone was stolen from a vehicle in the 7200 block of Maple Place.
  • A purse was stolen from a business in the 3500 block of Moncure Avenue.
  • A placard was stolen from a vehicle in the 3100 block of Patrick Henry Drive.
  • Cash was stolen from a school in the 7500 block of Saint Phillips Court.
  • Wallets were stolen from a business in the 2900 block of Sleepy Hollow Road.
  • A power tool was stolen from a residence in the 7700 block of Trammel Road.
  • Fuses were stolen from a business in the 5400 block of Industrial Drive.
  • Parts were stolen from a business in the 5400 block of Industrial Drive.
  • A bag was stolen from a business in the 6600 block of Iron Place.
  • Traveler’s checks were stolen from a vehicle in the 7000 block of Rhoden Court.
  • A wallet was stolen from a business in the 7500 block of Little River Turnpike.
  • Wallets were stolen from a residence in the 8200 block of Private Lane.
  • Food was stolen from a business in the 7800 block of Rectory Lane.
  • A firearm was stolen from a residence in the 5600 block of Sedgewick Lane.


Vehicle thefts through Sept. 28:

  • A mo-ped was stolen from the 6500 block of Little River Turnpike.
  • A 1992 Honda Civic was stolen from the 4600 block of Southland Avenue.
  • A 1996 Dodge Caravan was stolen from Southland Avenue at Little River Turnpike.
  • A Honda Civic was stolen from the 4700 block of Americana Drive.
  • A 2007 Chrysler Town and Country was stolen from the 4600 block of Denpat Court.
