Police Blotter Sept. 19: Stabbings, Accidental Death

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fairfax County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following items came from recent police updates from the West Springfield, Franconia and Mason District Stations of the Fairfax County Police Department.

Stabbing, 7127A Columbia Pike, Sept. 10. Police arrested Chong U. Lee, 51, of 4327 Ravensworth Road, No. 915, in Annandale and charged him with two counts of malicious wounding. Lee is accused of stabbing two men, ages 36 and 39, during an argument outside of Café Sole at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10. Both victims were taken to the hospital. One sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The second was more seriously wounded but is in stable condition. Lee and the two victims were known to each other.

Accidental Death, 7300 block of Statecrest Drive, Sept. 10. A worker died after he was struck by an asphalt roller at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10. The worker, Edgar Tobar, 40, of Woodbridge was standing near a roadway at a construction site. Another employee was driving the asphalt roller on the road, lost control of the machinery and ran over Tobar. He was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition and pronounced dead. Crash reconstruction and homicide detectives came to the scene and decided not to file criminal charges. The investigation was turned over to the Occupational Health and Safety Administration.

Stabbing, 3300 block of Woodburn Road, Sept. 11. Police arrested Mea M. Connor, 33, of Erie, Pa., on accusations she stabbed an acquaintance, a 39-year-old man, at about 3 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 11. Connor was charged with malicious wounding. The victim was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Larceny, 7200 block of Arlington Boulevard. A wallet was stolen from a business.

Larceny, 7400 block of Little River Turnpike. Beer was stolen from a business.

Larceny, 4900 block of Manitoba Drive. License plates were stolen from a vehicle.

Larceny, 5500 block of Seminary Road. An iPod was stolen from a residence.

Larceny, 5600 block of Seminary Road. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

Larceny, 6300 block of Strawbridge Square Drive. An iPhone was stolen from a business.

Larceny, 4300 block of Americana Drive. Packages were stolen from a residence.

Larceny, 8100 block of Braddock Road. Copper wire was stolen from a business.

Larceny, 8300 block of Queen Elizabeth Boulevard. A GPS was stolen from a vehicle.

Vehicle theft, 7900 block of Charles Thomson Lane. A 2004 Toyota Tacoma was stolen.

Vehicle theft, 6300 block of Little River Turnpike. A 2008 Toyota Corolla was stolen.

Vehicle theft, 6400 block of Edsall Road. A Chrysler Town and Country was stolen.
