Police Identify Dead Body Found in Annandale
The man, who was found dead near Hidden Oaks Nature Center last month, was an Alexandria resident.
Fairfax County police have identified the near in Annandale on June 21.
The man, Matthew Allen Johnson, was a resident of the 2200 block of Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria. According to Lucy Caldwell, public information officer with the Fairfax County Police Department, Johnson was reported missing by the City of Alexandria on May 31.
Johnson's body was discovered by a man while walking in the woods near around on the evening of June 21.

The autopsy results and cause of death have not been released. However, Caldwell said the police do not think there is a public safety threat for the surrounding neighborhood.
