Police: Two Robberies Reported in Annandale

The victims in both incidents were assaulted and sustained non-life threatening injuries.

At least two adult men were robbed and assaulted in Annandale last week, according to the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD).

The first incident occurred on Sept. 14 around 1:30 a.m. A 22-year-old man was assaulted by up to seven men after he left a convenience store in the 7822 block of Rectory Lane, according to the FCPD weekly crime report. The suspects took personal property and cash from the man, who sustained a non-life threatening injury during the assault. The suspects were described as Hispanic. No further information was released about the incident.

The second robbery occurred on Sept. 16. A 20-year-old man was walking around the 4500 block of John Tyler Court around 11:30 p.m. when he was assaulted by eight to 10 men, according to the report. Similar to the Sept. 14 robbery, the suspects took personal property and cash from the man. The 20-year-old victim was also assaulted and sustained a non-life threatening injury. The suspects were described as Hispanic.

It is unclear whether the incidents are connected.
