Attempted Burglary and Assault in Burke Area

Brandishing, 8000 block of Edinburgh Drive, 8/25/13, 10:55 p.m. A 35- year-old man was sitting in a parked vehicle. Two young men approached and pointed a handgun at him. The victim hit the panic button on his car alarm and both suspects fled. No one was injured.

Unlawful Entry, 7700 block of Donnybrook Court, 8/24/13, 5:15 p.m. A 30-year-old woman walked out of her bedroom to find a stranger in the living room. The man immediately fled. No one was injured and nothing was stolen.

Assault, 7400 block of Floyd Avenue, 8/22/13, 3:35 p.m. A 16-year-old was at a basketball court when three unknown men struck him several times. The victim went to the hospital and was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Larceny, 6300 block of Backlick Road, 8/22/13, 1:50 p.m. A 22-year-old woman was walking into a business. An unknown man grabbed her wallet and attempted to flee with it. She was able to maintain hold of the wallet and was not injured. The suspect fled.

Robbery, 9400 block of Richmond Highway, 8/26/13, 12:20 p.m. An 18-year-old man was walking home at approximately 4 a.m. when three individuals approached and demanded his money. The victim was stabbed during the altercation. The suspect fled without stealing anything. The victim responded to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Unlawful Entry, 7700 block of Stone Wheat Court, 8/26/13, 4:25 p.m. A resident reported an unknown man walked into the home through an unsecured door. The man left immediately when he saw someone in the home. Nothing was stolen.
