Police: West Springfield Man Reportedly Attacked by Neighbor

The following items came from the weekly activity report from the Fairfax County Police Department released on Sept. 6.

Mason District Station

Burglary, 8500 block of Overlook Road, 8/31/13. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several items to include clothing. Forced entry was made through a window.

Robbery, 3000 block of Patrick Henry Drive, 8/31/13. A 41-year-old man was assaulted by an acquaintance. The suspect stole the victim’s wallet. The victim was transported with non life-threatening injuries.

Unlawful Entry, 6400 block of Walters Woods Drive, 9/1/13. An unknown person opened the front door and tossed a firecracker inside. No one was injured.

Unlawful Entry, 7300 block of Parkwood Court, 9/3/13. A resident reported someone entered the home but nothing was stolen. There were no signs of forced entry.

Burglary, 7300 block of Parkwood Court, 9/3/13. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several items to include cash. Forced entry was made through a rear door.

Officer Involved Shooting in Springfield Area

Burglary, 7100 block of Sontag Way, 8/30/13. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several items to include jewelry. There were no signs of forced entry.

Assault, 8600 block of Reseca Lane, 9/1/13. A 42-year-old man was changing the oil in his vehicle when, allegedly, a neighbor attacked him with a knife. The victim was medevac’d to the hospital and later down-graded to non life-threatening injuries. Jae Kim, 39, of Springfield, was charged with malicious wounding.

Assault, 6900 block of Hechinger Drive, 9/1/13. A 36-year-old man was assaulted by three unknown individuals. Nothing was stolen and the victim was transported with non life-threatening injuries.
