Woman Assaulted and Robbed Near Ossian Hall Park in Annandale

The woman was later treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

A 73-year-old woman was robbed and assaulted Tuesday night in Annandale, according to Fairfax County police.

The woman was walking from a bus stop in the 7900 block of Heritage Drive around 8 p.m. Tuesday when she was approached by four men, a news release from the police states.

One of the men reportedly approached the woman from behind, took her purse, threatened the woman and then hit her several times. The suspects, described as two black men and two Hispanic men, later fled.

Fairfax County Public Information Officer Lucy Caldwell confirmed the woman was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries following the assault.
