Braddock District Candidates Gear Up for Debates

The first two of a total of 10 debates will take place in September

Candidates for the Braddock District seat on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors race announced on Monday their plans to hold a series of debates, starting in September.

So far, two of 10 planned debates have been scheduled between Republican incumbent and Democrat . Independent candidate Carey Campbell has also been invited to the debate.

The debates will take place in various locations in the Braddock District. Details for the first two debates are below:

Sept. 14, 7:30 p.m.: At Braddock District Hall at 9002 Burke Lake Dri.

Hosted by: Braddock District Council

Ninety minute debate with 3-minute opening and closing statements. Candidates will take questions from the audience.

Sept. 24, 3:30 p.m.: On the front yard of Denny and Suzie D'Alelio at 4811 Woodland Way, in Annandale

Moderator:Β  Ellen Oppenheim

Sixty minute debate with 2-minute opening and closing statements. Candidates will also take questions from the audience. Organizers recommend that residents bring chairs or blankets to sit on.
