Due to expected icy conditions, federal government offices will open at 11 a.m. on Monday, the Office of Personnel Management announced.
Additionally, OPM recommends that federal employees remain off the road until 9 a.m. on Monday.
Employees who commute to the office will be granted excused absence for the delayed arrival. Employees have the option to use unscheduled leave and/or unscheduled telework for the entire workday in lieu of a delayed arrival.
Emergency employees are expected to report to work on time.
Metro will operate an expanded rush hour service to accommodate the delayed opening, according to WMATA. Additionally, all previously scheduled midday track work will be cancelled Monday.
