“For some people Valentine’s Day is a time to celebrate the love and happiness in their lives. But for others, Valentine’s Day can be stressful, lonely or sad,” says Kristen Auerbach, director of Communications and Outreach for the shelter. “We wanted to have an event here that would be fun for everybody and would bring some joy to the many pets who have found themselves without a home on Valentine’s Day.”

*The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday, noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
