Here's what Fairfax County government offices and services will be open and closed for New Year's.

Fairfax County's government offices and services will have special hours and closings during the New Year's holiday. 

County Government –
• Dec. 31 – Closed.
• Jan. 1 – Closed.

Courts –

• Dec. 31 – Closed.
• Jan. 1 – Closed. 

Public Schools and School Offices –
• Dec. 24 – Jan. 1 – No school for students and teachers.
• Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 – Twelve-month personnel off. 

Library –
• Dec. 31 – Closed.
• Jan. 1 – Closed. 

Fairfax Connector –
• Dec. 31 – Regular weekday schedule.
• Jan. 1 – Sunday schedule. 

Fastran –
• Dec. 31 – Not in service.
• Jan. 1 – Not in service. 

Park Authority –
• Dec. 31 – RECenters will close at 4 p.m. George Washington RECenter, nature centers, historic sites, Frying Pan Farm Park and Green Spring Gardens will be closed.
• Jan. 1 – RECenters open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. George Washington RECenter, nature centers, historic sites, Frying Pan Farm Park and Green Spring Gardens will be closed. 

Teen and Senior Centers –
• Dec. 31 – Closed.
• Jan. 1 – Closed. 

Community Centers –
• Dec. 31 – Closed. 
• Jan. 1 – Closed. 

McLean Community Center –
• Dec. 31 – Closed.
• Jan. 1 – Closed. 

Reston Community Center Hunters Woods and
Reston Community Center Lake Anne –
• Dec. 31 – Open 9 a.m. at 2 p.m.
• Jan. 1 – Open noon to 5 p.m. 

Recycling and Disposal Facilities at I-66 and I-95 –
• Dec. 31 – Closes at 2 p.m.
• Jan. 1 – Closed.

Ginger was found! It took a humane trap to do it, but she is now safe & sound at home in FallsRead More Church. It was, in fact, thanks to this very notice that she was found!
