Annandale Students to Perform in 2013 Virginia All-State Chorus

The students, who are from Annandale High School and Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, will perform with other students from across the state in the chorus next month.

Six Fairfax County Public School students from Annandale High School and Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology have been selected to perform in the Virginia All-State Chorus for 2013.

A total of 66 students were chosen from FCPS schools for the All-State Chorus, which is sponsored by the Virginia Choral Directors Association. An additional 42 FCPS students were also named as alternates to the chorus. Of those 42 alternates, five are from Annandale-area schools.

The Annandale students selected for the chorus are:

  • Katerina Magiafas, Katherine Mock, Paula Naanou, Stephen Oakes, and Andy Riddle from Annandale High School
  • Hannah Pho from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology

The alternates selected for the chorus are:

  • Sarah Hatch, Susan Lin, Corey Snedgen, Mark Slough, and Leila Soulen from Annandale High School

According to a news release, the students will perform on Saturday, April 27 at Hanover High School in Mechanicsburg, Va.
