Annandale, TJHSST Win at VHSL Wells Fargo Academic Cup
Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology won first place while Annandale High School placed in the top 20.
Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST) took first place at the Virginia High School League (VHSL) Wells Fargo Cup (formerly Wachovia Cup) for Academics in Group AAA.
According to a news release from Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), Annandale High School tied for 16th place with six other schools.
As participants in the academic cup, schools are awarded points for in nine categories: scholastic bowl, creative writing, theater, forensics, debate, newspaper, yearbook and magazine.
