Five Annandale-Area Students Named 2014 National Achievement Semifinalists
The students are from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and Annandale High School.
Four Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST) students and one Annandale High School student have been named semifinalists in the 2014 National Achievement Scholarship program.
The program is part of an an academic competition for black American high school students conducted by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).
A total of 28 students from 16 different Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) schools were selected.

The scholarship awards will be handed out in spring 2014. The awards will be supported by corporations, professional organizations, foundations, and funds from the NMSC.
