Mulch Madness Underway at Annandale High

Proceeds from the PTSA fundraiser support the senior grad night celebration in June.

It's that time of year again: Mulch Madness is back, and the Annandale High School (AHS) Parent Teacher Student Association is currently accepting orders for its annual spring mulch fundraiser.

The bags of dark brown, shredded, hardwood mulch are $5 a bag. The cost reduces to $4.50 for self-pickup from Annandale High School. According to the PTSA website, one cubic yard, or nine bags of mulch, covers 100 square feet spread 2-3 inches deep.

Orders will be delivered Saturday, April 6 or they can be picked up from AHS. There is a 15-bag minimum order for delivery. The delivery coverage area includes the AHS school district and Wakefield Chapel.

Orders can be placed online through the AHS PTSA website. Residents who are not in need of mulch can also donate $5 or more to the fundraiser.

All proceeds from mulch sale purchases go to support the AHS All Night Graduation Celebration in June for graduating seniors.
