Representatives from Target visited the school on Tuesday to make the announcement about the grants to students.

Two representatives from Target visited students, faculty and staff at Weyanoke Elementary School on Tuesday afternoon to celebrate the school's receipt of a $25,000 grant.

Weyanoke is one of 100 schools in the country to receive the grant from Target Corp. as part of the Give With Target program. The program gives out $2.5 million in grants to K-12 schools across the United States for resources to help students in the classroom. The goal of Give With Target is to give $1 billion away for education by the end of 2015.

According to an FCPS news release, the money will go toward buying "iPads for student learning centers, document cameras, and SMART wireless tablets that will support teaching and learning for the more than 580 students who attend the school."
