WFES to Woodson, BMP to Edison in Annandale Regional Study Vote

Fairfax County Public Schools board members voted tonight.

Students in the Wakefield Forest Elementary School attendance area will go to Woodson High School, and students in the Bren Mar Park attendance area will attend Edison High School.

Fairfax County Public Schools board members voted tonight on the attendance area recommendations outlined in the Annandale Regional Study.

Parents from WFES and BMP attending tonight’s vote were visibly disappointed.

After tonight’s votes, Tessie Wilson, School Board Member for the Braddock District, said she wanted the Wakefield community to heal.

“It’s time to move forward,” Wilson said. “I believe Annandale High School will be successful and I refuse to believe any self-deprecating prophecies that it won’t.”
