The two-day long festival kicked off on Friday.

Hundreds of skateboarders gathered in on Friday in Annandale for day one of the sixth annual Skatefest.

The two-day festival, which celebrates Go Skateboarding Day, features competitions for skaters.

The street course was a popular attraction throughout the four-hour long competition on Friday. Dozens of parents and skate enthusiasts lined the gates outside of the park to watch the skateboarders perform tricks in various categories such as "halfpipe jam," "best trick" and more.
