Breakfast with Santa, Bethlehem Walk and More This Week

Here are five things to look forward to in Annandale this week.





  1. Snow Day: Fairfax County Public Schools and several Fairfax County government offices are closed today. Here's a list of all of the known closures for today due to the weather.
  2. Kings Park Concert Band + Lunch: The Shepherd's Center of Annandale-Springfield will host their next Lunch N' Life meeting on Thursday. The luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Annandale United Methodist Church, located 6935 Columbia Pike. The Kings Park Concert Band will perform several seasonal band songs. The luncheon costs $10. Reservations can be made by Dec. 10 by calling 703-941-1419. Details.
  3. Breakfast with Santa: Adults and kids alike can enjoy some Christmas fun by getting their picture taken with Santa on Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church, located at 4801 Ravensworth Rd. There will also be an arts and crafts table available for all to make ornaments for their trees and storytime. Details.
  4. Bethlehem Walk: Annandale's Parkwood Baptist Church will host their 13th Annual Bethlehem Walk on Saturday and Sunday. The walk is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Residents will be able to "walk the narrow passageways of ancient Bethlehem during the time of Jesus Christ’s birth, meet the citizens, make way for Roman soldiers, see tax collectors demanding their tributes" during the walk. Additionally, there will be tours, children’s crafts, Christmas music performances and refreshments. The event is free. The church is located at 8726 Braddock Rd. Details
