Holmes Middle School educates sixth to eighth grade students in Annandale. Its goal is to improve school achievement for all students. The school prides itself in its diverse population of students, teachers and staff members from more than 50 countries in the world. The school offers a variety of FCPS programs such as International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program, Special Education Services, English for Speakers of Other Languages and more. Special features include a peer mediation program, a mentor-mentee program, and a homework help line for students and parents. Students are organized into six instructional teams (130 to 150 members each) that share the same language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and resource teachers.
