Annual Annandale Red and White Golf Classic Set for May 17

The event is one of the school's biggest fundraisers.

The Annandale High School Parent-Teacher Student Association (PTSA) will host the 16th Annual Red & White Golf Classic Friday, May 17. The fundraising event starts at 8 a.m. at the Laurel Hill Golf Course in Lorton. This is the third year the golf classic will be at the Laurel Hill, which is also hosting this year’s United States Golf Association 2013 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. “The proceeds from the Red & White Golf Classic are used to support the academic programs of the school's Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA),” said Golf Classic Co-Chair Rich Fruchterman in an email to Patch. Annandale High School PTSA 'Flower Madness' Fundraiser Ends Today

Tuesday is the last day to place an order for flowers from the Annandale High School PTSA fundraiser.

Just in time for Mother's Day in May, the Annandale High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is hosting a flower madness fundraiser. A variety of flowers are on sale, including perennials, annuals, petunias, begonias, hanging baskets, patio plants and more. All orders and payments have to be received by Tuesday, April 16. Orders can be submitted through the order form on the PTSA website where residents can also view photos of the plants offered.  Plants can be picked up at Annandale High School on Thursday, May 2. Residents who have a scheduling conflict can ask the PTSA to hold their plants. For more information, visit www.annandalehsptsa.org.

Mulch Madness Underway at Annandale High

Proceeds from the PTSA fundraiser support the senior grad night celebration in June.

It's that time of year again: Mulch Madness is back, and the Annandale High School (AHS) Parent Teacher Student Association is currently accepting orders for its annual spring mulch fundraiser. The bags of dark brown, shredded, hardwood mulch are $5 a bag. The cost reduces to $4.50 for self-pickup from Annandale High School. According to the PTSA website, one cubic yard, or nine bags of mulch, covers 100 square feet spread 2-3 inches deep. Orders will be delivered Saturday, April 6 or they can be picked up from AHS. There is a 15-bag minimum order for delivery. The delivery coverage area includes the AHS school district and Wakefield Chapel. Orders can be placed online through the AHS PTSA website.
