FCPD: 96 Vehicles Stolen in Annandale Area in 2012
Mason Police District sees decline from 119 vehicles stolen in 2010, most recent year statistics are available.
A preliminary police report shows that a grand total of 812 vehicles were reported stolen in 2012 in Fairfax County — 96 of which were reported in the Mason Police District. FCPD saw a decline in vehicle thefts compared to 2011 and 2010 when 881 and 963 vehicles were reported stolen countywide respectively. Mason saw four police districts in the county with more vehicle thefts and three with fewer. Sully Police District reported the lowest number of vehicle thefts among the county's police districts. Of the 963 vehicle thefts in 2010, 119 were reported in the Mason Police District, according to previous FCPD reports.
