Public Hearing Scheduled for Proposed Concrete Mixing Plant in Springfield

The plant, which would be located in Shirley-Edsall Industrial Park, would produce and deliver concrete.

Titan America will present their application for rezoning and special exception to build a concrete mixing and batching plant to the Fairfax County Planning Commission on Thursday during a public hearing. The plant would be located at 6600 Electronic Dr., on the Southern Ironworks property in Shirley-Edsall Industrial Park in Springfield.  The construction of the plant would take place in phases. If built, the plant would be operational 24 hours a day, but deliveries would only occur between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, according to a staff report.
