Soaring Temperatures Bring Heat Advisory
The forecast calls for a hot and sunny day, around 98 degrees.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a heat advisory for Wednesday, effective from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Heat Index Value—the perceived temperature—will be around 105 degrees. The NWS' forecast for the Annandale area calls for a sunny and hot day, with a high of 98 degrees. After 2 p.m. there's a 40 percent chance of rain, and the possibility of a thunderstorm. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will make heat illnesses possible.The NWS advises drinking lots of fluids and staying out of the sun.
