Volunteer Fairfax Seeks Volunteers for Annual Event
Registration is still available for several local area projects, including one in Annandale.
Hundreds of residents are gearing up to volunteer next weekend at non-profits across Fairfax County for the 18th annual VolunteerFest®. VolunteerFest® is a regional day of community service sponsored by Volunteer Fairfax in conjunction with National Make a Difference Day on Saturday, Oct. 27. For one full day, volunteers will help out at area elementary schools, food banks and beyond. According to a news release, almost 1,400 community and corporate volunteers participated in last year’s event. Volunteer projects in the past have included creating care packages for troops, painting homes in the area and more.
