No Injuries in Fire Sunday at Home on Reserves Hill Court off Old Columbia Pike in Annandale

Two occupants at home called 911 after they smelled smoke and found the garage on fire.

A fire broke out Sunday afternoon in the garage of a home on Reserves Hill Court, a cul-de-sac development off of Old Columbia Pike in Annandale, across from Pinecrest Golf Course.  Two occupants of the home smelled smoke and noticed the smoke detectors in the home did not go off, according to a Fairfax County Fire and Rescue spokesperson. They found the fire, in the home's garage, and called 911. About 30 fire and rescue personnel arrived on scene and performed an aggressive fire attack and got the fire out in about 10 minutes. Fire and rescue have determined that the fire started due to an undetermined electrical issue.  Ten people live in the home — six adults and four children. Fire on Howard Street Shuts Down Traffic on Gallows Road

UPDATE: No injuries in possible electrical fire.

UPDATE 7:45 p.m.:  There were no injuries reported and damage was light at the Howard Street home in Annandale where a fire was reported Wednesday night. A single female occupant was home at the time of the fire. According to Fairfax County Fire Deputy Chief Michael T. Reilly, the fire appears to have been an accidental electrical outlet fire.  Reilly said when fire units arrived on the scene, they responded to what appeared to be a basement fire, as they saw smoke coming from the front of the house in the lower level. Upon entering the lower level, there was zero visibility due to smoke from the fire. While firefighters were searching for the source of the fire, they were tripping over themselves, he said, due to what he called a mild …
