Falls Church resident Roberto Ruiz had a Powerball ticket worth $1 million, but it took him a days to find out, according to Virginia lottery officials. Ruiz told the Virginia lottery that he only glanced at his ticket the morning after the August 15 Powerball drawing, and then forgot about it. (A Michigan man was the sole winner of the $337 million jackpot.) What Ruiz didn’t know was that his ticket had matched the first five numbers in the drawing.
