Monica Boland was born and raised in suburban Falls Church and now lives in the City of Falls Church. She received her BS in Print & Multimedia Journalism from Emerson College in Boston, MA. Monica has worked as a reporter for The Boston Globe and Market News International. In addition to being a Patch reporter, she is also the Editor-in-Chief of a marketing network for business professionals based in the Washington metropolitan area. Monica considers herself to be a versatile journalist with a penchant for arts & culture writing. When she's not writing or editing, she's exploring nearby artistic pockets and immersing herself in local subcultures.
