Man Charged With Assaulting a Police Officer in Annandale
Mauricio Turcio Bonilla, 49, was also charged with drunk in public.
A local man was charged with assaulting a police officer in Annandale on Saturday.
Fairfax County police approached Mauricio Turcio Bonilla, 49, of no fixed address, in the 7400 block of Little River Turnpike on Saturday around 6:08 p.m. Police determined that Bonilla was drunk in public and arrested him, according to the daily crime report released by the Fairfax County Police Department Monday.
During the arrest, Bonilla assaulted a police officer and resisted arrest. The report states Bonilla was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and drunk in public.
